So You Think Article Writing Is Hard?

July 26th, 2010 Bob Yeager No comments

One of the most popular and powerful methods to generate traffic is article writing and article marketing. But just knowing that is one thing. The other component is possessing the knowledge and experience to write such articles. But it’s really interesting because very many IM marketers, for whatever reason, don’t want to take the time to learn this, so they pay other people to write them. But what if you do not have the budget for this? Good articles can be expensive! But if you’re like most people, you only need some solid suggestions that will get you on your way to writing excellent articles. Next up, we’ll share some great tips you can put to work immediately. Do not treat your articles like they’re academic essays. An essay structure is much like “tell them what you’re about to say, say it – and then explain what you said.” A “reverse pyramid” arrangement, or structure, is found in articles. For an essay, typically the most unimportant information is found in the middle area. In an article you put the most important information at the beginning of the article (after the introduction) and then leave the lesser information for the end of the article (before the conclusion). What this structure accomplishes is it gets the most important information read sooner. It’s critical in an article that the introductory section is 100% clear. The introduction does not have to be long. Ok, so this section is to introduce the topical area and touches on what will be revealed in the article. People are different, and some writers will take forever to get this part done. You’ll see some articles in which the writer used very succinct sentences in the intro. What you want to do with the introduction is bring the reader into the article. There are writers who can get this done very quickly with the short sentences framework. Others prefer to tell a story. With practice, you’ll discover your own preference. Tools like the Unique Article Wizard Review can make the job of creating hundreds of articles a lot easier. Writing two or three drafts for an article is a great idea. Do multiple checks for grammar, spelling, and then check for other mistakes such as in organization. Never publish a first draft. You want to go through your article at least twice before you submit it for publication. An interesting approach is to find another person to check your article, or read it and offer their opinions. No question – article marketing works with bringing in targeted traffic. But you don’t want to waste your efforts by producing bad articles because they will not work for you. Learning how to write articles well is just good business sense. The better your articles the more sales you will make!

Submit a different unique article to hundreds of sites using the Unique Article Wizard, the web’s forerunner in article marketing.

IS WHAT I HAVE TO SAY NEWSWORTHY?

July 26th, 2010 Bob Yeager No comments

Press releases are often confused with press kits/EPK but they are distinct and serve a unique purpose to get you, the artist or business, free publicity.  The key is to remember that a press release is used to deliver something newsworthy to a publication in the hope that they will print it.  This may be an forthcoming show or album release, for example. However, just sending out the info is nowhere near getting it actually promulgated by your target publication.  To target certain publications, you may need the assistance of a publicist.

You will need to try and make the press release appealing, make the story interesting with a strong newspaper headline to entice your audience to read more.  If you can find an angle with which to sell the story then that’s better still – if you are donating proceeds from your album sales to charity it is a better story than just dropping a new CD (not that we are saying this is a necessity!). You should then look to get all the pertinent information into the first paragraph with other, additional facts, placed later. The sheet should not be more than one side long if printed and should also include your contact information should an editor want to contact you to find out more (who knows they may even want to run a feature on the basis of the press release). Now, the most important thing to keep in mind is that editors and reporters are ALWAYS bombarded with press releases, so you have to make yours stand out.  Also, you should know that they sometimes let how their day is going, dictate how they will handle an article – if they will even consider it, so it is best to keep that in mind, and make sure that what you have to say is truly newsworthy.

When you finish the press release it is customary to put ‘###’ at the bottom as this is a standard way to show the editor that they have received and read the entire release rather than just part of it. But remember – the snappier and more newsworthy it is the more likely you are to get your story (and consequently your free publicity) out there.

My World Internet Summit Experience

July 25th, 2010 Bob Yeager No comments

One man’s experience at a World Internet Summit event.

I watched World Internet Summit live on the internet the first day (4 day live event) of the event from my home. I purchased a ticket to attend the event live butI through my back out unfortunately. As I was taking in all the info I found myself getting emotional, literally energized. I was so pumped and motivated that I raced down the highway the next day from around an hour north of Toronto.

Upon arriving I noticed Sean Roach (one of the most popular, intelligent and entertaining speakers in the business) walking on the opposing side of the street. I drove my pickup across the center line on the wrong side of the road and stopped right in front of him,  my vehicle facing in the wrong direction on the road. At which time Sean looked a little bit nervous at first, but I had met him previously , so he either recognized me or he was putting up a brave front .

Which ever  way, I explained to Sean my situation and how energized I got watching the event on the internet , he informed me that this kind of affair happens quite often, people fly from all over the world to attend an event like this. Well I only drove with a sore back for about an hour, not quite flying from the other side of the world, but I watched World Internet Summit live for the next 3 days, sore back and all.

Lets get this part out of the way right now, the speakers (like Roy Carter of the UK) who attendWorld Internet Summit are there to promote their products and services , and I don’t have a problem with that. The event is more then just that , All of us who attended were given a enormous amount of free up to date internet marketing online information,  products to promote and the belief that would be a success .

Every face of internet marketing was covered, Product Creation, Selling on eBay, Affiliate Marketing, Web 2.0, Pay Per Click and Audio and Visual experts to name just a few. There was definitely something there for everyone’s interest.

When I watch events like World Internet Summit live, it feels like I have been given a shot of adrenalin, I am so energized by the time the event is over.

If you are new to internet marketing online it’s a must that you try to attend these events. I attend events like this 3 or 4 times a year to re-energize myself and find new products and ideas. Attending live events also provides me the opportunity to meet with the speakers and get the answers to my questions in person.

I mentioned earlier that the speakers who attend these events promote their products, which just happens to be a tremendous opportunity in it’s self. As I get introduced to all the latest products and services that are currently available, sometimes even before the general public is mindful of them.

World Internet Summit is an event that i look ahead too.

What You Need to Know About SEO

July 25th, 2010 Bob Yeager No comments

”SEO” is a phrase that you are going to see bandied about often as you educate yourself about Internet marketing.

To raise their pages as high in the search engine’s rankings as possible, website owners and Internet marketers will employ Search Engine Optimization or “SEO” techniques. Understanding which practices will give you the best personal results can be daunting and frustrating, but a great variety of means for performing SEO using your own online marketing endeavors exists. How do you know which SEO methods are best?

Here is some of the information that you need to know to help make your SEO efforts successful.

Give your site the most readable and legible format possible. If you for some reason have created a site that does not have an obvious path of navigation, you will need to do some work. If you want your site to be popular and rank highly in the search engines it needs to be easy to read and easy to navigate. If your site is overflowing with ads and a visitor can’t tell what’s a link and what’s not, you’re not going to fare well in the page rankings. You’ve heard the saying, ‘less is more.’ When it comes to design and ease of reading, you want to err on the side of less. The first thing you need to keep in mind is that keyword phrases are better to use than single keywords. When you use a single word, you are more likely to saturate your writing with a single word. When you saturate or stuff your content with one You will not see success with search engine optimization immediately. Even mighty Google can not search out the whole Internet in 24 hours. There are entirely too many websites to cover in one day. As a result, you have to be patient and wait for your ranking to arrive, no matter how hard you worked on your content and keywords. To reach every site out there, it does take a while for the spiders used by Google and the other major outfits. If you are ever offered to rank first page on a search list in 24 hours, you may as well leave it alone. You must have patience. Make sure you wait a month or two before deciding to try something else, because they might not have gotten to you yet!

Resist the temptation to cram a bunch of keywords onto the base of the page. Sometimes people do that and then go a bit further and make the text white or a color that blends into the background. Another trick people resort to is cramming keywords underneath image files. Avoid both of these practices. These are nothing more than fast ways to get you banned by the major search engines. Whatever you do, don’t take anyone’s word that something is legitimate – make sure you know whether or not you’re getting scammed by these particular methods, or if they actually work. Embrace the good. Resist letting yourself be dragged down. Dominating Google

You should not be overly concerned with the page rank that is given to your website. Even though you do want to get this number higher and higher, it’s not going to be of good use to you if you sit and obsess about it every day. This number is not going to stay the same anyway, because the page ranks are re-calibrated. To make matters more interesting, the bosses at Google decide to mix up the basis for page rank placement constantly. If you keep the content on your site quality and make sure your site is great, you will have no problem ranking.

If you have aspirations to become successful as an Internet marketer, you must know the basics of SEO. A great variety of approaches are available to online marketeers utilizing SEO. Your method might be more geared toward content, and another person could want to fill their pages with SEO keywords – no matter what you use at first, you’ll start to see what works and what doesn’t for you. As you keep going, you’ll find the best way to use search engine optimization! internet marketing expert
